With over 25,000 MVA of transformers in operation in all Spanish utilities, Efacec has now strengthened its presence in this strategic market with the signing of two contracts totalling over 30 million euros
The Portuguese company was awarded the contract to supply and install high and medium voltage transformers, which will benefit 50,000 families in one of Spain’s provinces, who will now enjoy clean, renewable energy, avoiding the emission of harmful gases and contributing to a sustainable energy transition.
The second contract includes the supply of power transformers with national coverage, supliying millions of homes, for the energy network in Peninsular Spain and the Canary Islands.
The award of this work comes after a demanding negotiation process, in competition with the main European transformer manufacturers. Among other parameters, the Portuguese company was recognised for the quality and reliability of the solutions presented.
For Michael Silva, Chief Commercial Officer of Efacec: “The contracts consolidate and strengthen our close collaboration with the Spanish market, where we have been present for almost three decades, having already impacted and benefited around 7 million homes in this geography. It is with great satisfaction that we are developing these projects that attest to the trust that our customers, benchmark operators in the Iberian energy market, have in Efacec, and in the excellence of our engineering and our products and services.”
