Efacec heads to Dubai to showcase its cutting-edge products and solutions in the areas of switchgear, transformers, automation and electric mobility. From March 3rd to 5th Middle East Energy fair brings together the main players of the industry in one of the largest and most important fairs in the world. It stands out on Efacec’s booth its digital asset management solution, developed with Portuguese technology.
Developing business in the Middle East region since the 1990s, in recent years Efacec has increased its presence in this market amongst the main grid and power utilities and EPC contractors.
Regarding the Switchgear area, in addition to the several projects developed in Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi and Qatar, it must be highlighted an order to supply of 11kV medium voltage cells for the Marabea Road real estate development project in Dubai. This is the 7th order received by Efacec for the DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) transmission network and marks the reinforcement of Efacec’s presence in the Middle East market.
Efacec power transformers are in operation in all countries in the region, with emphasis on Core transformers and mobile substations. Regarding the Automation segment, Efacec has developed partnerships and contracts with several markets such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Bahrain and Jordan.
Efacec has also been working on the development of technology that provides data on transformers in a timely manner, making it possible a faster and more efficient decision-making. Digital Asset Management solutions were designed to be adapted to new or existing power transformers, helping customers to better understand the real condition of the equipment and, at the same time, allow an optimized management of its performance.
In the Electric Mobility area, Efacec takes a leading role in the region, namely in the UAE with EV chargers installed in MASDAR, DEWA (Dubai Electricity and Water Authority) and very recently with FEWA (Federal Electricity and Water Authority), two of the most important utilities in UAE.
