Mozambique’s Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Max Tonela, and the CEO of Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM), Marcelino Gildo Alberto, visited, on September 10th, the Metoro Power Plant, which is being intervened by Efacec.
Efacec is performing the engineering, procurement and construction contract for the operation and maintenance of the largest solar power plant, which is being installed in Mozambique. The works started in October 2020, and is in an area of about 65 hectares. This 121.500 PV modules project will enable a production capacity of 68 GWh per year, which will contribute, when commissioned, to supplying the entire province of Cabo Delgado and to promote the acess to energy to 100% of the Mozambican population.
Located in Metoro, north of Mozambique, the 41,3 MWp plant is an emblematic project for Efacec, which has been operating in Mozambique for over 20 years, and thus reinforces its presence in the market and the region with sustainable solutions for a better and sustainable future.
