For Efacec is an honour to keep contributing to the growth of the transportation network in Oporto. More than 33.000 people will be using the new metro lines and stations daily, making their mobility more sustainable.
Following the tenders for the construction of the new Oporto Metro lines – Extension of Yellow Line and the new Circle Line – two contracts were recently signed between the construction JV (Ferrovial / ACA (Alberto Couto Alves) and the JV formed by the companies Efacec, Jayme da Costa and Sisint, for the supply of all electrical and electromechanical systems.
These contracts reinforce the presence of these companies in the projects for the development of urban mobility systems in Oporto Metropolitan Area, now with the turnkey supply of:
- Traction Power Network, including Substations and Catenary
- Power Systems, including Lighting and Low Voltage
- Automatic Fire Detection System
- Ventilation, Pumping and Smoke Removal Systems at Tunnels and Stations
- Air Conditioning and Compressed Air Networks
These projects and installations, when completed, will allow that Oporto Metro’s network reaches not only important infrastructures such as the Santos Silva and Santo António Hospitals (in Gaia and Oporto, respectively), but also the important urban center of Vila d’Este in Gaia.
Every day we anticipate breaking through solutions in electric mobility and transportation. So you have the power to choose how to move forward.
