In partnership with Bravida, an electromechanical installations company, with a contract worth 8 million euros.

Following its success in 2023 with the signing of a contract with Midtjyske Jernbaner for the first battery-powered train charging station in Denmark, Efacec has now been selected by Banedanmark, the country’s railway infrastructure manager, to supply two new stations of the same type.

The contract obtained in consortium with Bravida, a Danish electromechanical installations company, has a total value of around 8 million euros, with Efacec’s participation being approximately 50% of this amount.

A project that reinforces the company’s position as a key player in this innovative sector, maintaining its position as the only supplier of this type of charging stations in Denmark.

The two new facilities will complement the charging station contracted by Midtjyske Jernbaner (MJBA), ensuring the operation of the new battery-powered trains on the Lemvig-Skjern-Holstebro line, which will boost MJBA’s energy transition in process through the replacement of current diesel vehicles.

The contract includes the design and supply, on a turnkey basis, of two stations with 2.2MW of power that can charge a train in less than 10 minutes.
For Michael Silva, Chief Commercial Officer of Efacec, “Being involved in innovative and challenging projects like this one, particularly in a country like Denmark which is known for its dedication to the environment and innovation, allows us to expand our know-how and our prospects in this international market, where Efacec plays an increasingly crucial role in building a more promising and sustainable future.”.
