The assessment, retaining and talent development are key factors in Efacec’s development strategy for the next decade. To respond to this objective, Efacec has just taken a step forward by integrating FEUP’s Prime program, as a strategic partner of the project, promoted by the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP).
Bringing companies closer to the university, giving value to the talent and knowledge produced, contribute to the development of an open innovation culture, technology-based startups and universities are the main objectives of this program, that was presented on October 15th in a session attended by Paulo Ferrão, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), representing Manuel Heitor, Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education.
By partnering this initiative, Efacec will have the opportunity to attract the best talent, involve students to solve concrete situations, work with researchers on societal challenges and cutting-edge innovation. By taking part of this FEUP program, Efacec materializes its strategy of placing people in the center of the company’s development, looking for the renewal of its talent DNA and the promotion of gender equality, namely empowering women in tech.
Connecting universities and research is a differentiating factor for Efacec as a leading company in technology and innovation. Efacec has a relationship with Porto Business School, an exclusive partner of the Mast3r Academia Efacec Management School; INESC TEC, partner for scientific research, technological development and technology transfer activities, a relationship that has recently been extended for another 25 years; and FEUP, which has Efacec’s support in the financing of PhD and research programs.
Regarding FEUP, the long-standing partnership between the two institutions has also materialized through internships of FEUP students in the company. In the last three years, Efacec has granted 72 professional internships and 54 traineeships to FEUP students.
