Ângelo Ramalho, Chairman & CEO of Efacec, received Pedro Siza Vieira, Minister of State, Economy and Digital Transition, Luísa Salgueiro, Mayor of Matosinhos for a meeting with the Board. In this session, Efacec shared the new organizational structure of the company, the new management model, the structuring solutions implemented since the beginning of the mandate and the results already achieved.

We are very pleased to announce that, against all expectations, Efacec managed to find breathing space and has recovered over the last six months, leveraging a strong commitment to technological innovation during this period.”
“The positive results of the last six months are very encouraging, given that the beginning of the recovery was marked in the last quarter of 2020, carrying over to the first quarter of 2021, with a positive EBITDA. The month of March registered a record turnover in the recent history of the company, making it possible to achieve the goal of the quarter.” said Ângelo Ramalho.
Efacec is in a recovery process, and the recovery curve is visible. With two consecutive positive quarters, always maintaining a strong focus on technological innovation. In the last six months, the company launched new products in Transportation, Transformers, Electric Mobility and launched an open innovation platform aimed at national and international entrepreneurs and start-ups.
In terms of technological innovation, and in a particularly challenging year, it is important to highlight the worldwide recognition in terms of Product Design that Efacec has just received by being awarded two Red Dot Design Awards, in the Product Design 2021 category. This is the most prestigious award in the world and is a mark of the permanent innovation capacity and pioneering spirit of a technological company like Efacec. The Red Dot Award was given to the Modular Transformer (Modular Systems), patented and applied by the company for the first time in December 2020, for its aesthetic richness, design impact, advanced digital functionalities, and contribution to reducing the carbon footprint.
