inauguration of the Yellow Line extension of Metro do Porto took place this Friday, June 28, bringing to a close a project that benefited from the collaboration of the Joint Venture formed by Efacec, Jayme da Costa and Sisint to supply all electrical and electromechanical systems.
The new Yellow Line stations allow the Metro do Porto metropolitan network to expand to important infrastructures such as the Hospital Santos Silva and the urban centre of Vila d’Este, allowing thousands of people to access the hospital in the best possible conditions.
For this project, and as a result of the contracts signed by these companies with JV Ferrovial / ACA (Alberto Couto Alves) in 2021, the turnkey supply of:

It is with immense honour that this JV has taken part in a project of this magnitude, which will have a positive impact on the lives of tens of thousands of inhabitants of the Porto metropolitan area. It is a testament to the quality and strategic relevance of Portuguese technology in the development of infrastructures that are essential to everyone’s lives, both in Portugal and around the world.
The confidence placed in the electrical and electromechanical systems supplied by Efacec, Jayme da Costa and Sisint further reinforces the importance of these companies in the sustainable urban mobility landscape and, in particular, the high reliability of their solutions, as well as the technical expertise of their people.
Currently, this Joint Venture is also contributing to the construction of the new Circular Line of Metro do Porto, which will make it easier to travel to the Hospital de Santo António area in Porto, improving the quality of life for users of Metro services and all citizens.
